How could the King just go off and sell Jim! After all the 4 of them have been through, I know I wouldn't be able to sell him. The King didn't even own Jim, and the Duke, just standing by watching it all, he didn't even object to it. Personal I hope Jim is to come back into the story.
I agree with David, I think Huck is scared to come out that he really cares about Jim because people wouldn't look at him the same. He says "nigger" again, not really referring to Jim but him just saying that word means he still doesn't fully want to stand up for Jim and the entire race.
