French talk...

Going back to the conversation about how the French speak different but they are still human; this made me realize something quiet general but many times over looked. If a white man is a human and a black man is human why enslave them? As the French speak different the blacks look different but we are all human in nature, we are all of the same dignity.

    The whole idea for the black is because to be enslaved is because of their skin color. Since the white people look "pure" I guess that's why they believe that anyone of any other race is inferior to them. I'm still confused on why Huck decided to prank Jim for the second time. I understand that Huck was scared and he was mad to find Jim sleeping when he returned, but why did he make Jim believe that it was all a dream?

    I agree with Sarah, Huck obviously still doesn't care much about Jim's feelings if he keeps tricking him over and over. He is still a boy and he is still immature. Because of that, he doesn't realize how much he hurts Jim's feelings until Jim stands up for himself.

    When Jim stands up for himself, I noticed that Huck was kinda disrespectful towards him. I could just be interpreting this completely wrong but I thought that Huck was still treating Jim as a joke. Thats only because of society. Huck is realizing that Jim's feelings have been hurt, I understand that, but I feel that he isn't going to change his racist ways anytime soon.
